These terms summarise how a shipment is agreed when you book through us. They are a guide to the working relationship, not a substitute for the written quotation.

Offer
Quotations
- A quotation is valid for the period stated on it and for the cargo and route described
- Freight rates move weekly; a quotation is not a running price
- The method, equipment and transit quoted are confirmed at booking, not at enquiry
Risk
Liability and insurance
- Our liability as carrier or forwarder is limited as set out in the carriage terms
- Marine insurance is recommended and placed on request - it is not included unless agreed
- The condition record at loading and discharge is the basis for any claim
Compliance
Customs and documentation
- Clearance is arranged by us only where the destination is one we serve
- The consignee broker handles clearance elsewhere; we supply the documents
- Accuracy of declared values and descriptions is the shipper responsibility
Commercial
Payment
- Payment terms are stated on the pro forma and booking confirmation
- Demurrage, storage and duties at destination are the importer cost unless agreed
- Space and equipment are confirmed on receipt of the agreed deposit or pre-payment
